Available in sitting or standing height and ADA compliant. The Kerel comes with a five-year warranty.
The Double Kerel offers two carrels back to back. Kerels can be placed individually or ganged to form larger tabletop surfaces conducive to group work.
Patrons and students switch between modalities depending on the task at hand. For example, the open state offers greater privacy and limits night lines. This differentiation enables groups and individuals to use the same space more efficiently.
Kerels allow for a space to be transformed in minutes. Librarians, teachers, or staff can be responsive to the needs of students and patrons by creating more opportunities for individual learning and focus.
The tabletop flips upwards to reveal a secondary work surface with privacy panels that use a gas spring that provides lift while controlling the speed of the action. To close, lower the partition top, and the mechanism will engage with a soft control close as the end -- no pitched hands or fingers.
